The final season of Boston Legal will start its run on September 22. It’s one of the few drama series which appeal to our grey matter more than our emotions. Though initially it started as a spin-off of The Practice, it stayed on because of its popularity. It has its own faithful following of few like me who don’t find staple of love triangles and family dramas very intellectually stimulating.

There are rumors abuzz about the faces we will be seeing in this season of Boston Legal. Betty White will join the Boston as Catherine Piper. She is one of the most vibrant characters in the series. A few seasons back she was part of a murderous arc. Another new face on the show will be Kimberly- William-Paisley, the bride of Father of the Bride fame. No spoilers about her role in the series. That should keep everybody guessing what the pretty lady will be doing in court room drama.

It has been confirmed that Gary Anthony William who played the character of Clarence/Clarice Bell will no longer be part of the cast of Boston Legal in its fifth and final season. He was part of the show for the last two seasons. There is another departure. Taraji P. Hensen has also announced that she is no longer on the show when it comes on air in September 2008 for its final season.

No, this doesn’t mean that Desperate Housewives’ whole cast is going to intrude in Boston legal nor there will be any sequence like there will be any legal battle among desperate housewives. But I am talking about the desperate Housewife star who has now made entry into Boston Legal. This is Mary Alice Young. Who had committed suicide because of murdering the lady whose, baby she had stolen and is now his loving son. She and her husband changed their home station due to fear that people will come to know that Zach is not their real son. But when that lady comes to claim her baby she kills her and disposes her body. But when after some years this truth too comes out of dark, she commits suicide in stress of being caught. This was Brenda Lee Strong’s powerful role in Desperate Housewives.

Now, when she is not a desperate Housewife, she is coming to make some judgments on Boston legal. She will play a guest role of a judge in one of the episodes of Boston’s fifth season. She is a sexy-but-tough judge who presides over one of Crane, Poole & Schmidt’s big cases.

Cool role. Her role selection is pretty good I must say. She makes a mark in every short and long term role. She had a guest role in Gilmore girls too and was accepted by audience with open arms. Hey but one thing for which I am a bit confused, that if a judge will be looking such hot then obviously the case will stay for longer in the court room. Both the defense and prosecution will enjoy debating over for longer. And look at Boston Legal creators now they have started to include hot judges to the show to invite more and more viewers. Smart play!

When a judge has been crowned as Miss Arizona in her youth then she is definitely worthy of Judge’s position as well as court room’s full attention. Brenda is a brilliant actress and I am just waiting to watch what charm she spreads this time with her acting.

Everybody knows Clarence Bell of Boston Legal who appeared from the third season and had sued ‘her’ company for not giving him maternity leave when he was going to adopt a child. Gary Anthony Williams playing Clarence has very impressive personality in real. He first appeared with Clair Simms and Alan Shore on the show and later on became Clair’s boy friend. He also played secretary of Clair in the same season. Everybody liked him in that role. Now it is confirmed that he won’t be in season five of Boston Legal. As this is the finale seasons so many are going to leave this show for further developments in their careers. Like Whitney Rome (played by Tratji.P.Hensen too has announced that she is not coming back for the new episodes.

I’ve heard that the show makers carried Clarence’s role to end and as per the buddy TV reports he is not upset for that as he had enough time on the show. I got one more exciting news about Boston legal from the same source. The fifth season will start with the episode named ‘Smoke Signals’. The news says that now Alan and Danny will tackle the tobacco industry, as they will defend a person whose father smoked cigarettes and died of lung cancer. Hey pretty interesting.

I like this show because it brings the real controversial issues in light. There are many other dramas running on television with entertainment purpose only. But this is the rare show which put presents the unique issues which we have never thought about that these are worthy protest. Like in this episode, they are fighting against the evil of Tobacco. We all know that maximum revenue is earned from the sale of tobacco but simultaneously this is the slow disaster too.

I have not heard any such case in real life that somebody had ever stood against this industry in the court room. Now somebody will perhaps get idea from the show. I must say that Boston Legal is fictionally close to the reality. There are few shows like this with originality.

The Boston Legal is one of the best drama series on ABC, besides Lost and Grey’s Anatomy. I just heard a buzz that these are the three which are said to be on the top of the list Emmy Award nominations in Drama Series category.For the first time ever, Academy of television Arts and Sciences is allowing its process of preparing Emmy award Nomination list for Comedy and Drama series to be transparent by revealing these top 10 lists.The final top five nominations in every category will be announced on July 18.

It’s amazing; I am also waiting for the list to release. Now there will be no secrets locked for months and we will not waste our time in making guesses. I have read it on several sites that Boston Legal will definitely be a nominee this time too. We all know that it has won an Emmy in 2005, 6 and 7 too. But this time it will be in the category of best drama series.

Everybody is hoping that ABC will win the crown this time. Why not? Boston Legal is doing well and is popular since the year it started. Moreover it’s my personal favorite. I never miss a single episode of it. The legal drama not only entertains but also sometimes leaves the viewer just thinking about the episode he saw. I think every episode of Boston legal has this strength.

Has anybody noticed about the names of the episodes? These are usually pretty interesting, like the folk stories. Like ‘Witches of the mass destruction’ in second season, ‘Beauty and the beast’ in the season four. This is really funny.

I wish all the very best to Boston Legal this year. May be the show gets lucky again this year. Last James Spader kept Boston Legal’s name in the Emmy awards, as he won the lead actor award for Boston legal, though he has won the same continuously in 2004 and 2005 too. But what can we say other good people are also in the Emmy run this year, and who knows who will snatch away the award. Mad men, The riches, House kind of good series are also in the row for the lead role in drama. Well I am looking less chance for James Spader this year. Alan Shore already had enough awards and now should leave some space for the other hard working actors.

Well but to be very honest I like the character of Alan Shore in Boston Legal. He is a cunning lawyer, though all lawyers are cunning but he follows up some different ways. His ways are called unethical on the show. I like his other form too as a woman chaser. You know Boston Legal is a serious drama but I laughed on the situation that one of Alan’s girlfriends becomes mad because of Alan and is being sent to the mental hospital and then Alan fights her case to get her rid of that. At least I would like to be away from such disastrous lovers. Why I am calling him a lover as he himself tells Denny on the show that he doesn’t has the love gene, so he has some problem with the women.

Boston Legal has remained always my favorite, in fact from the times of ‘The practice’. This is the only show which has consistency of liking ness until its spin off. There is a genuine reason behind the popularity of the show, as Alan keeps on winning awards for the show.

As we all know, Boston Legal has been renowned for season 5 and we all are ready to welcome this upcoming season. It’s good to have a new great season but it’s also sad as network has decided to shut down the series after season 5.

Yeah, ABC is not in mood to run this legal drama for a long time, but is in mood to run for fifth season. So, show’s season 5 may be the last season you spend with those cool attorneys. According to ABC president Steve McPherson, Boston Legal will bow out with a 13-episode run in the fall, which will push the show just past the 100-episode mark. It’s not what we were expecting at all and fans are really very sad after this announcement. Now, it’s your turn to get sad, if you’re unknown about that. Yeah, one thing more, that is of too much importance that Boston legal season 5 or Boston Legal’ finale season is moving to Mondays at 10 pm ET/PT. Rumors are also about some casting changes when Saffron Burrows has already left the show.

Hey buddies!!! Don’t be sad as season 5 is here. What happens next, it completely depends upon season 5 ratings and I think ratings are not an issue with such great series. What says??? Am I right?

Every week, I do watch Boston Legal episodes and never skipped any single episode. Sometimes I love the episodes, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes episode fills me up with enthusiasm and sometimes can make very disappointed. Last episode from Boston Legal was a good episode and worked wonderfully.

On this episode, Alan was arguing a case before the Supreme Court. All is about a man who is sentenced to death for raping a 7 year old gal and Alan is trying to defend that man. For Alan, his client is Lenny Serra, a mentally disabled and labeled for raping a child. Katie Lloyd learns some news about Jerry Espenson’s new girlfriend from Lorraine Weller. Watching Gordon Ramsay rip into the contestants on Hell’s Kitchen was really full of fun. Meanwhile, Lenny is insisting on two things: he didn’t do that and he doesn’t want to die. Alan attends a mock hearing where everything he says is being challenged by mock representatives. Angry Alan lectures Denny for his party animal attitude. On the next day of hearing, the prosecution represents its side by book but Alan doesn’t. Alan strikes right back after being challenged by Supreme Court. Then, he states his client’s wishes’ who claims that he didn’t rape the child and he doesn’t want to die.

Jerry discovers that Lorraine is still in the brothel business and sends Katie and Lorraine out of his office. Frustrated Jerry breaks up with Dana when Lorraine tells him that Dana is an honorable woman who loves him is she says to do. Alan and Denny enjoy their cigar and scotch, and Denny tells Alan that he’s proud of him.

Another tremendous Boston Legal episode ‘The Mighty Rogues’, aired on 4-15-2008. What we see on the episode is that Shirley’s father is suffering from the last stage of Alzheimer’s. Shirley’s dad Walt is in pain and I found he’s entirely fearful of everyone at Hospital including Shirley also. Shirley looks so upset because of his father’s condition and asks for a morphine drip to be used to put her father into rest. Initially, I didn’t understand why doctor refused to do that. Well, I got the point when chief resident explains that Law doesn’t allow them for a morphine drip, they could do if they bring a court order. Denny, he cares too much of Shirley and decides to do everything for her. The judge grants the motion. Shirley thanks Alan for everything he did and watches her father pass away.

On another hand, Jerry needs Katie’s help and under Katie’s help he apologizes to Dana and admits that he’s in love. Later on, Dana drops the case and gets back with Jerry. Well, at the end of the episode, the Mayor of Nantucket enlists Carl’s aid- to get the town an atomic bomb for defense purposes. But Clarence doesn’t want to help anyone get an A-bomb. Carl discovers that the client is not too much crazy. I really enjoyed seeing Candy Bergen and Shatner work together. It was good to see Denny and Alan sharing scotch and cigars. The episode ends with Denny chewing on his cigar and with hands in his best friend’s hands.

In Shirley’s case, I think she do have some things keeping her grounded. Wholly, the episode was a superbly satisfying one which managed to deal with everyone’s expectations and from the episode I really get the idea where most of the firms’ income is from.

Boston Legal is back with its new episodes which were scheduled to air this month. On April 7, I was lying on my couch and was watching some of the downloaded episodes of series’, just spending my day. I was eager to welcome the new after strike episode and believe me the episode was beyond of my expectations. Well, now I’m here to share my views with you about the episode:-

The episode begins with Jerry Espenson and Alan Shore dealing with a court case. And the court case is an incensing one- a lady is murdered by her ex-beau when she refuses his marriage proposal on TV. Now, the show’s producer is being processed by girl’s dad- Alan’s client. Lorraine formulates a theory Alan is returning to a state of childhood where he murdered his several childhood toys

Meanwhile, Shirley meets another ex-boyfriend named Ethan, who is charged with hunting sales in Boston harbor with a shotgun and circumstances are not in favor of him. Shirley manages to secure a victory for him and invites him for a dinner after winning the case. Ethan refuses and leaves her depressed. Denny goes out for dinner with Shirley and tries to get her affection back. Shirley tells Denny she doesn’t seem them getting back together. And, in the end, as very usual, Alan wins the case, sacking 4 million dollars for his client.
