Boston Legal’s actor William Shatner has warned Sidhe from making a video game on him in whom the player would demolish William Shatner rather than slabs. The background music selected for the game by the company was the same song that he sung in Mr.Tambourine Man. That game must have been like a gift for his fans but most importantly, Shartner did not like the idea and was not happy that it was being created without his permission. Therefore, he has served a notice to the company warning them to stop the proceedings otherwise he will file a suit against them. I think Shartner’s quick decision of hiring a lawyer and taking a legal step against company is the effect of being involved in Boston Legal TV Show. As he was playing one of the major roles in this legal drama-comedy, he has surely learned that no one should delay in taking formal legal step in such cases.
The notice he send to Sedhi through his lawyer mentions, “Please be advised that you are to immediately cease and desist the further development of, production, and or distribution of the game Shatner or any other products that use William Shatner’s name or likeness without his approval. Failure to do so will leave us with no alternative but to commence legal proceedings.”
This is a big problem these days, as soon as a person becomes famous, people try to earn money on their name, and then it may be by defamation of their name. William Alan Sharter is one of those big names that people may exploit. His work in television and movies has been awarded by Emmy Award, Golden Raspberry Award, Streamy award and Golden award. His most appreciated work was his role played in Boston Legal as Denny Crane.
