In Season 5 Episode 1, Bethany Horowitz went to Alan Shore to seek his help in the case against a large tobacco company. And, while helping her, Alan came to know that the defense attorney was Phoebe Prentice. Alan is distracted in the courtroom because of the presence of his old flame Phoebe Prentice. On the other hand, Denny was disturbed because of his unfulfilling performance in the bedroom.
