William Shatner is one of the very popular celebrities of the entertainment world. Whether you take him as the former captain Kirk on Star Trek, or as Denny Crane on Boston Legal, William Shatner has always given a powerful performance. Not only these two, William has hundreds of acting credits in his pocket and he’s the favorite TV actor of innumerous people around the world.

As of now, he has decided to go animated on YouTube cartoon, The Gavones. He’s also serving as the director of the show and would give his voice to Don Salmonella Gavone in the cartoon series. His character would be seen struggling to choose his beneficiary among his four nonconformist sons. In order to do so, he would set a test for all of his sons to find out who loves him the best and that one would be declared his heir.  The project is being considered as the cartoon version of Sopranos-meets-Hollywood. William also said in an interview, “”It’s a comedic Soprano family. It’s the mafia in Hollywood trying to make a hit - and half the family think it’s murder and the other half thinks it’s a movie”. Shatner also added that Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci and Martin Scorsese are also part of the project as the voiceovers. The series opener has been posted very recently and the next one is expected to be released in the next month.  All the episodes, most likely 6-7, would be sponsored by Priceline and would be aired twice a month.  Hey, you William Shatner fans, what would you say about this latest buzz about your favorite celebrity?
